Xelogen G4 light bulb

What is Xelogen-
Xelogen is a gas which combines Xenon and
halogen. The word is a portmanteau of
Xenon and halogen

Why Xelogen-
Xelogen is used in lighting where it is put in
light bulbs to make them last longer. Unlike
halogen-only bulbs, Xelogen bulbs can be
handled with bare hands and will not be
damaged by being operated with fingerprints
or other oils from the skin present on the
exterior of the glass. Xelogen bulbs also last
longer than ones with only one or the other gas.

The marine industry has been experiencing
premature burn outs for years because halogen
lamps burnout easily with unstable voltage
output in boats.

The UV rays from halogen lamps can seriously
damaging fabrics and artworks, Xelogen lamps do
not emit damaging UV rays, which make it ideal
for highlighting sensitive fabric and artworks.
